SUBTERRANEAN TREASURE or
stored valuables, in the sense of an archive or underground museum.
In this section, we are not dealing with the Storage system as in any way symbolic - but as actual fact.
The Mandai then shows them the way to the subterranean place, and takes them to the vault;
"The vault was used by the Mandaeans of olden times, for at one time they used to make writings and images in stone, not on paper. There are in the vault images of gold, copper, and stone. When you out your hands on them they fell away, for they are very ancient and were made by the Madaeans of old time who hid the images of their gods there. 4"
"There they saw inscriptions on marble and on statues and on lamps and on the roof - everywhere there were insciptions."
Eventually, the Mandai leads the white-haired people through the Vault to return to "our" world.
There are many other examples of subterranean treasure to be found in various cultures. For example, the Theosophical author, Leadbeater in his book "Masters on the Path" tells us of the vast subterranean halls containing an occult museum the Guardian being the Master K.H. on behalf of the Great White Brotherhood.
He further describes the varied character of the contents of this Museum as illustrative of the whole process of evolution. There are models in alto-releivo of the variations of the surface of the earth, diagrams showing the migrations of the different races of the world, original manuscripts, statues, strange scripts from worlds other than ours, animal and vegetable forms, and actual models of the great cities of antiquity. The similarity to the Mandaean myth is extraordinary.
The idea also surfaced in the UFO camp.George Hunt Williamson had come up with similar information in his research work on the Els, or Ancient Ones, who colonized the Milky Way. They also left behind them
"...great libraries in their deep underground empire of enormous cities.In these libraries tiny crystal records contain the history of the Universe, and are enclosed within a magnetic field that, at times finds an affinity with some sensitive person living on the earth today. "

This is the legacy that the Els left behind to future races. Further data on these underground information banks was released to the world through Edgar Cayce and Paul Brunton, who both reveal the existence of a Hall of Records under the Sphinx. Cayce describes this centre as a 'time capsule' which contains records of the world as a whole, embracing the rise of Atlantis, its culture and contribution to the planet and finally the eventual dispersion of the sub root races, resulting in the founding of the Egyptian, Tibetan and Peruvian data capsules. Williamson mentions Lake Titicaca as the Earth Central Control Room of the Els, and much psychic and interplanetary activity has been recorded there.Yet another sacred power centre underground is Shambhala, which is still termed the Sacred Island in memory of the time it was an island in the Asian sea.
At this stage we can perhaps see the importance to the evolution of the planet of these seeds stored in underground silos of knowledge held in suspension for the appropriate age wherein they can be revealed again to Humanity. And as before suggested to the reader by Williamson, this exposure of the seeds of stored knowledge to the light of day, does not necessarily have to occur on the level of the physical discovery - such as the Dead Sea scrolls etc. but can also occur through telepathic sensitivity to the magnetic frequency in which the records have been stored. This could happen without the recipient even being aware that he or she has tuned into this storehouse and gleaned information now necessary and timed for our future advancement as a race. This entire process is controlled by the Masters and Adepts and Recording Angels. Revelation occurs under the auspices of Pluto, and Mercury, thus also connected with the Lunar Angel of Revelation - Gabriel, who announced the incarnation of Christ to the chosen vehicle, Mary.
As we enter the Aquarian Age with its dominant power/frequency of URANUS, so the faculty of clairaudience becomes functional, that to some extent the records stored in the Akasha will open once again for the use of Mankind. What is the Akasha?
In the Introduction to The Aquarian Gospel of Jesus the Christ, we find the following definition of the Akashic records:
"The imperishable records of life, known as the Akashic records, are wholly in the domain of Supreme Intelligence, or Universal Mind, and the Akashic Record reader must be in such close touch with the Holy Spirit, or the Holy Breath, as the ancient masters call this spirit of Supreme Intelligence, that every thought vibration is felt in every fibre of his being."
The belief is expressed, that in the coming Aquarian Age, as a greater percentage of humanity come into spiritual consciousness so their potential to read the Akasha will be expanded.
